November 10, 2025From France to Europe: Fédésap Delegates Take Brussels
On 22 and 23rd September, Fédésap brought its territorial delegates for a two-day seminar dedicated to advancing the Personal and Household Services (PHS) sector. The event, co-organised with the European Federation for Services to Individuals (EFSI), gathered more than 60 participants from across France to exchange on key policy and operational challenges, reinforce collaboration, and align strategies at both national and European levels.
The first day was dedicated to European matters, starting with a visit of the European Parliament. In the afternoon, EFSI organised a series of keynotes and discussions to provide the delegates with a broad picture of recent EU policies.
- EFSI and its recent initiatives were presented by Cécilia Jornod, Communication and Project Coordinator
- Leonor Tavares, EFSI Policy Director, led an engaging policy discussion with Dana
Carmen Bachmann (Head of Unit at DG EMPL) on EU Care Policies - A tripartite discussion bringing together France and Belgium was organised to offer representatives to discuss the key differences between the two systems. This
conversation was led by Océane Cougneau, Federgon, Nico Daenens, Group Daenens, and Frank Nataf, Fédésap.
Throughout the seminar, the discussions focused on priority topics such as workforce
shortages, training and professionalisation, and digital transformation within the sector.
These exchanges helped identify concrete needs and collective opportunities to further
strengthen the network’s representation and capacity to support its members.
By facilitating this exchange, Fédésap and EFSI reaffirmed their shared commitment to
advancing decent work, professionalisation, and social dialogue in the PHS sector—both
in France and across Europe.
